Contest: Ask Me To Write On Summer

Okay, so before everyone freaks out, I haven't forgotten about my need to feature the last winner, I just started a new job and that's not an excuse but whatevs ANYWAY

Summer is a season of mixed emotions. For kids is means no school, ice cream and pool parties. but for adults, especially ones with children, it means more work. It means long days in the muggy hot weather.

But however you feel about summer, one cannot deny that its sunny, and hot (most of the time ;D )

For this poem we'll be writing a variation of a Cinquain. Traditionally, they have five lines, and follow a different pattern. This Pattern I'm creating is of my own design, so, it doesn't have a name.


Line 1: "Summer"
Line 2: 2 adjectives
Line 3: 3 verbs
Line 4: 3 sets of 2 word noun and verb combinations (I'll explain)
Line 5: an acrostic poem of "Summer"
Line 6: (empty)
Line 7: "Summer" (again)

So, Like this:

Pots
metal, cold
Cooking, heating, boiling
I stir. Grandma's magic. Dad burns.
Perfect On Top Stoves

Pots


Summer should flow much better. Now, if you want to bash or if you want to praise summer, that's up to you, either is acceptable.
